The children’s choir at the Unter den Linden Opera House

Even though music is not (yet) their profession, the boys and girls of the children’s choir at the Unter den Linden Opera House certainly have a powerful presence. The traditional ensemble has gained major recognition in the recent years. The members, aged between eight and sixteen, have performed operas such “La Bohème”, “Tosca”, “Hansel and Gretel” and “Die Frau ohne Schatten” and sing in their own concerts with the symphony orchestra, piano accompaniment and also a cappella. Invitations to sing with other great orchestras, including foreign orchestras (in the USA, Argentina, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam) speak volumes for the reputation of the choir, along with the awards received at national and international choir competitions (e.g. 1st prize at the German Choir Competition 2014).
